What is involved in my dream Destination CE ?
It is actually pretty simple, just follow these steps:
- select which conference(s) you wish to attend.
- complete the registration form and provide payment.
- book your rooms early at the conference hotel THEY WILL SELL OUT
- once you have your dates and conferences selected, then go to the custom tour web link for individualized options for your perfect Destination CE
How many Continuing Education Hours are approved?
Each meeting location offers 12 hours of Continuing Education hours. All of our CME is COPE accredited, co-sponsored by the Illinois College of Optometry and approved for ALL STATES using CE Broker.
I'm hesitant to travel without being a part of a structured tour group, where everything is planned out for me. Any suggestions to ease my mind?
Each of our conference locations are carefully selected to be both centrally located in the heart of each city, and easily accessible from the airport or train station by cab. Private pick-ups can be arranged. The pace of the trip is entirely set by you. Together with our Viator partner, you can plan, very easily a vacation and CE experience that will be a trip of a lifetime!
I'm traveling solo. Will there be much interaction with the other conference attendees outside of the CE?
The other doctors and family members who will be on the trip with you invariably are just as excited as you are. A unique sharing of ideas, restaurant suggestions, region specific activities, and local festivities are shared each day. As is usually the case, friendships will form on each of these trips that not only enlighten the trip but can be enjoyed back at home.
Why does the CE start so early in the morning??
The earlier we start in the morning, the sooner we finish. Continuing education is completed by lunch time on the days of education. While your family is enjoying a leisurely morning, you are knocking out your quality continuing education. Once the education is completed for the day, there is no need to interrupt your afternoon and evening plans with getting back to the conference hotel for more CE. You're free to enjoy the afternoon and evening doing exactly what you have selected to do!
I hear that dinner is later in Europe. Is that true? What time is customary?
That is correct. Throughout Europe, dinner is a longer and more relaxed experience that in North America. Typically, most Europeans arrive at restaurants no sooner than 8 pm. Dinner easily lasts 2+hours. If you se a beautiful restaurant that is full at 6:30, it is a tourist trap. The restaurant that is empty at 6:30 is the one you want to go to....at 8!
